Today would have been MM's 83rd birthday. I have been a fan since I was 10. I actually clearly remember the moment I "discovered" her. A book had been released ("Goddess" by Anthony Summers) which included a post-autopsy photo. A tabloid paper here in Melbourne published the photo on the front page, and mum pointed it out to me saying "That was Marilyn Monroe, she was murdered". I still believe that. I think my love for her led me to many of my interests including a love of old Hollywood, a fascination with true crime, and an interest in mental illness. I just adore her - I love this pic. I prefer pictures that aren't overly "Hollywood".
